Making mistakes
Why make mistakes, I am inclined to believe, that we all learn from our mistakes or I think we do, as we are generally dealing with speech, it is ok to make mistakes in our lessons that way when you are in company you will not make those same mistakes, making mistakes should not stress you & if it does then our classes are what you are looking for. If you don’t speak there is nothing to correct, on the other hand, if you do speak & make mistakes, remember it is all part of your learning process, you will be corrected.
Now is the time to think of a new approach to your studying, if you had a de-motivating experience at school or felt that English was too hard, the chance has now arrived where you forget those worries, you need to feel comfortable & enjoy your learning, most of our lessons are based on conversation & are structured around specific topics.
Do consider this, language is not something you memorizing, it is not a story, language is, the story, how it is worded, the way things are said, the idea is that if you hear the word again & again your brain processes the information & stores it, your job is to use it when it is appropriate.
Through my experience with Czech students, I have come to understand that in some cases it is very much to do with stress, being afraid, embarrassed even becoming paralyzed & unable to say much if anything at all. Every step you make forward, is a step that brings you closer to the end of your journey.
